Usoa García Sagüés is a London based artist originally from Spain. She will graduate in September from the Royal College of Art London UK with an MA in Textiles.
Her practice is part Care part Resist and explores an alternative motherhood story through textile sculpture with varied collections including knit-quilt ‘Mother-Infant’ folds, 3D textile ‘Femmage’ and ‘Mother Interrupted’ wire knitted torsos. Her latest installation is a sanctum of textile totem deities to ‘Great Mother Earth’ at RCA 2025.
Other current and recent shows include House of Haberdash at the Torriano Meeting House. She also curated a 12 artist exhibition this year on motherhood all love begins and ends here and participated in the last 12 months in: TEKHNE and draw_a_line gender violence installations at the RCA, Veridical at LumiNoir Art Gallery, je m'amuse SOLO at RuptureXIBIT, Murmuration at J/M Gallery and Artnumber23 Prague.
