Artist Xue Lei’s work spans artificial intelligence, the metaverse, new media interactive art, and ceramics: “AI captures datasets that can be understood as a collection of existing human knowledge, but this knowledge generation inherently has biases. Therefore, it leads to significant deviations produced by these communication hot words.”

Curator Alice Scope is exploring the relationships between humans and technology (from AI to blockchain): “When something is unfamiliar, you're more likely to respect its boundaries. But as you grow comfortable, that respect often fades—and can even turn toxic. Around 70% of interactions with chatbots involve abuse. People feel they can say anything, believing the chatbot’s lack of a body makes it powerless to push back.”

Time, technology and wellness are connected in the digital world of artist Rory Scott: “I have come to think of time as a tool, rather than something that only takes away from you or that changes you. You have the ability to use time deliberately, to create change in and for yourself, and I find that to be really powerful & liberating.”
